A network of support

Our Franchisees have the opportunity to cultivate connections with like-minded leaders and make an impact beyond their communities through owner-operator associations. They’re a space to learn from other owners, network, share ideas, and work together to support the communities they serve.

Asian McDonald’s Operator Association

Our Asian McDonald’s Operator Association (AMOA) engages in numerous conferences and local initiatives, using its unified voice to support communities and amplify efforts to increase representation among our Franchisee base. In 2003, AMOA helped establish APIA Scholars, which grants $500,000 annually to help underserved students reach their full potential.

McDonald’s Hispanic Owner-Operators Association

Through the McDonald’s Hispanic Owner-Operators Association (MHOA), several of our Franchisees are working to advance quality education opportunities for Hispanic communities. For example, MHOA helps fund the McDonald’s HACER® National Scholarship, which has supported more than 17,000 Hispanic students in their pursuit of academic goals since 1985.

Women Owners Network

The Women Owners Network (WON) is a diverse, inclusive community of women owners focused on supporting members’ financial success, business growth, and leadership development, championing women’s empowerment within the McDonald’s System and beyond. WON represents approximately 600 women owners out of 2,000 total US Franchisees, which translates to nearly 4,000 restaurants out of over 12,500 in the United States.

National Black McDonald’s Operators Association

Established in 1972, the National Black McDonald’s Operators Association (NBMOA) remains the largest organization of established African American entrepreneurs in the world. Since its creation, NBMOA has been guided by a mission of self-help, in which members support each other to achieve a shared goal of business and economic success.
