The Frank Martinez Story

Growing up in the back of a truck, following crops with his farm-worker parents, Frank Martinez appreciates all that he’s achieved. His father always told him “Behind fear, you will find success.” And success he found.

Through hard work and dedication, Frank was able to achieve his dream of becoming a potato farmer and owning his own land in Warden, Washington. Today, the farm produces a bountiful crop of Russet Burbank—one of the best potatoes for McDonald’s World Famous Fries®. To this day, Frank still adheres to wise words from his father – “Whatever you do, make it last.”

“If you grow the best potatoes, you’re going to have the best French Fries,” says Frank. “When you make something with pride, people can taste it.
