Macca’s^® in the Community

Macca's has been the primary sponsor of junior football in New Zealand for 20 years. We help thousands of players, coaches and referees with resources and equipment. Each season we award 150,000 Player of the Day certificates, 15,000 Player of the Day trophies and over the last 7 years have distributed 100,000 balls to clubs throughout the country, all in the hope of inspiring our future Football Ferns® and All Whites®.

McDonald’s^® has been an active part of New Zealand communities since 1976, and we are proud of the positive contribution we make. Our restaurants and franchisees play pivotal roles in their local area, and we take our responsibilities seriously to make sure we are a good neighbour and a good corporate citizen wherever we go.

We’re proud to come together with our customers, franchisees and crew to raise funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC®) New Zealand. RMHC NZ provides free accommodation, meals and support to families with a hospitalised child, giving them what they need most: each other.  In 2025, RMHC NZ supported 4,264 families and provided 45,932 nights of accommodation.

For the fourth year running, Macca’s is proud to be part of Fieldays. We’re shining a light on the farmers, growers and suppliers who play a big part in bringing Macca’s favourites to life, and sharing how we’re working together toward a more sustainable food future.
